Owego Interact has been busy making a difference in the community!
Interact is a service and social club for high school students. Students participate in service projects in both their school and their community.
Recently, members participated in the Crop Walk to fight hunger (raising over $500!), helped collect donated items for hurricane relief efforts, and teamed up with the Owego Rotary Club for a fun-filled Halloween Fest. The students shared that they really enjoyed seeing all the costumes! The latest was helping out at the Rotary Craft Fair that raised $2000 for Rotary Foundation’s campaign to End Polio Now.
They also took action to support their peers by gathering hygiene products for students in need at the school. In December, you will see Interact helping the Literacy Club at school with their karaoke event and organizing an ornament fair for their fellow students at OFA. Their dedication to service truly shines!
