Our club received the Rotary District 7170 "Lend a Hand" award at the District Conference held May 6-8 at the Villa Roma in Calicoon, NY. The award was presented to Rotary District 7170 by the Cortland Rotary Club on April 30, 1983 to be used to recognize, annually, outstanding community service by a Rotary club in the District. The award was originally named the "Helping Hands Award", but was renamed last year in recognition of the 2003-2004 Rotary theme.

The award is in recognition of our club's outstanding Rotary Centennial Projects which have improved our community in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of Rotary International.
