Age is an issue of mind over matter. If you don’t mind, it doesn’t matter. Mark Twain
MUSIC: After arguing that Terry was more Irish, Matt had Terry lead, “My Wild Irish Rose”
FINES: Judy asked a question which more of us should have gotten. Steve knew that answer of the ruling which separated investment houses from banks (which are now allowed to do investing and sell insurance. It was the Glass-Steagall Act.
Judy also has a fork which we left at the Council of the Arts building. I was never good at symbolic poetry, but I remember being able to figure this one out.
TWO roads diverged in a yellow wood, And sorry I could not travel both And be one traveler, long I stood And looked down one as far as I could To where it bent in the undergrowth; 5 Then took the other, as just as fair, And having perhaps the better claim, Because it was grassy and wanted wear; Though as for that the passing there Had worn them really about the same, 10 And both that morning equally lay In leaves no step had trodden black. Oh, I kept the first for another day! Yet knowing how way leads on to way, I doubted if I should ever come back. 15 I shall be telling this with a sigh Somewhere ages and ages hence: Two roads diverged in a wood, and I— I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference. 20
STUDENT EXCHANGE: Laura announced that she, Mati, and Joao spoke at all of the language classes at OFA about the exchange program.
Mark and Maria Dixson have moved to Candor.
JESSICA BURRELL: It was reported that there were between 1100 and 1200 served at the barbeque dinner for Jessica Burrell.
LINDSEY ADLER: There is a nice article in the Finger Lakes magazine with photographs by Lindsey Adler about raindrops.
PETS: Orv spoke this past weekend at the incoming Club Presidents orientation. He also attended an Interact meeting and was awed at all that they could accomplish in 15 minutes. He also reported that the Newark Valley Interact Club’s charity basketball game raised $600 to go to Tioga County United Way. Joao was on the student team.
SUNSHINE: Barb Fink is back in the hospital and we are all wishing her well.
INDUCTION: Orv inducted Tara Heiss who was sponsored by Faye.
PROGRAM: Steve asked the tables to come up with ideas for programs. The contributions were excellent ideas. I would like to compliment Steve, once again, for the outstanding job that he is doing.
Mati and Joao shared information about their week. Joao will be in the school play. Mati is baking. Elizabeth thanked the Club on behalf of the Interact Club.
