Gary Williams, Editor

Matt started today’s meeting with a moment of silence for Paul Stear. It was good to have his son, Paul, with us and also Anna (Joao’s sister) Joao, and Mati

The benefit for Mike Slavetskas was a huge success – a tribute to Mike, his family, some dedicated individuals and our community. There were many volunteers, but as Laura shared, Mati, Joao, and Anna worked as hard as anyone.

If you want others to be happy, practice compassion. If you want to be happy, practice compassion. Dali Lama

MUSIC:

Carl and Carolyn led us in, “Let me call you Sweetheart”

FINES:

Richard questioned new members on club traditions. Their task is to find out the answers and return next week with the answers as happy dollars.

SUNSHINE:

Al is making his recovery after a total knee replacement. We were all thinking about him.

Laura is collecting money to help the Burrell family due to Jessica’s accident. I don’t have answers and can’t get this out of my mind. It is wonderful that the community helps support those in need. It does make a difference.

YEP is meeting at 7:30 AM tomorrow!

PROGRESSIVE DINNER:

Carolyn made the announcement. This sounds like it will be fun.

PAUL HARRIS DINNER:

Carolyn Galatzan announced that this year’s dinner will be on Tuesday, April 8. If there are people in the community you would like to recommend to be honored, please contact Carolyn. Despite the enthusiasm you may feel, I suggest a reserved approach.

PROGRAM:

Carole LaPlante shared information with us about water and the Susquehanna (which is the longest river on the East Coast). This was a timely and important presentation and Carole did a very nice job.
