We were joined by a number of Kiwanians and it was mentioned that we should think of things to do together which we used to do in the past. Nicole Sternmenslay was at the meeting representing Interact.

POINSETTIAS:

Judy asked for volunteers to come to the meetings early for the next couple of weeks to help her sort the plants.

CHRISTMAS PARTY:

Bernie asked people to pick up mittens, buy and wrap gifts, and then return them no later than the meeting of December 11, since the party is on the 15th. Please tape the mitten on the wrapped package. Gifts should cost between $8.00 and $16.00. While this is run by the Elks, Rotary and Interact have also contributed for the past few years.

DINNER MEETING IN TWO WEEKS:

There will not be a lunch meeting that week. Plants will be available at the dinner meeting. The speaker will be Kevin Dooley who works in the Attorney General’s office and is recently back from Iraq. Dinner is at 6:30 PM following a personality adjustment hour.

CROP:

Terry announced that over $9700 was raised and he thanked Rotary for the part we played.

Mati is now wrestling and is commensurately sore. He is looking forward to Thanksgiving since they do not celebrate a similar holiday in Germany.

PROGRAM:

I got to introduce Gwen Smith who spoke about her brain aneurysm, her surgery, and the familial predilections. A very large number in the audience know people who have had aneurysms and the morbidity and mortality statistics are very poor. Susan supported Gwen’s message which is also true for aortic aneurysms.
