DG Dave honored them and passed out the new pins.

PROGRAM:

DG Dave was here for our Paul Harris Dinner. At that time Matt suggested that the DC should not be in Reading, PA, and that led to it coming to Owego. The Board met with Dave prior to this meeting. As is our tradition, he was presented with a Stackmore table. Some feared that he may be boring, but as Orv promised, he made an interesting and concise presentation. There are now 11 Interact Clubs in our District (and we sponsor 2 of them). Since we continue to do more and membership continues to turn-over for many reasons, this year the emphasis is on membership. He mentioned new members with new energies and ideas. Some may be young, but we have grown so much with mature members, not to the exclusion of younger members. He emphasized that they need to get involved immediately. He also shared that there are 8 Ambassadorial Scholars at Cornell this year. The Foundation Seminar will be held in Sidney on September 29, commencing at 9:00 AM. Wilf Wilkinson, RI President, will be at the meeting in Endicott on October 24. The entourage gave the 10 best reasons for attending this year’s District Conference.
