7:30 Judy called meeting to order. We recited the Pledge of Allegiance and observed a moment of silence.
Our guest speaker was LeeAnn Tinney from the Tioga County Industrial Development Agency (IDA).
LeeAnn is a life long resident of Tioga County. She worked in mortgage lending before working for the IDA.
The IDA promotes Tioga County and works on attracting business to help with the growth of our county. They work closely with the LDC (Local Development Corp) that helps the small businessman. The LDC will help people go through the necessary steps to get a business started.
The IDA is overseeing the facade improvements for businesses between Main and Fox St on North Ave. Maximum $10,000.00 per building. With this grant the work needs to be complete and paid for. The business can then apply to receive 50% of paid funds refunded to them.
Judy said LeeAnn would be a good speaker for Tuesday lunch meeting.
