Breakfast Meeting

7:30 Orv called meeting to order

Welcome guest speaker Scott MacDonald of Fred L. Waterman Conservation Center.

Scott spoke to the club about the IBM Glen. The IBM Glen is made up of 205 acres that was donated to Waterman Conservation Center.

They have documented 118 species of birds at the IBM Glen.

They are dealing with long term maintenance.

  1. Bridges
  2. Signage
  3. Trails
  4. Trees
  5. Parking area

The greatest thing is the fact that 205 acres have been preserved for future generations.

Waterman Center last year had 5,690 children participated in the youth programs.

Over 89 programs were offered last year at Waterman Center with a total of 16,000 people attending the different programs.

Next Thursday, March 17, 2005, 7:30 the Board meets at the Treadway in the Owego Room.
